Leaving San Francisco

When leaving San Francisco in the morning there is always a challenge; if you have blue sky you have to take adventage and go for the spectacular view.

We sat down here to contemplate the gourmet city we are leaving behind and set the plan for the day: we are stopping at Muir Woods to get the necessary approach to the native smells of the forest, followed by a visit to Carneros.
Rising together with the temperature are the cars, locals and tourist. California is waking up after a very rainy winter, reservoirs are full.

When crossing over from Sonoma to Napa, we drive the hill down looking at the clouds. They are the big friends of the weeds and studied covercrops planted in the vineyards. Carneros area is the house for sparkling wine houses dedicated to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Of course we find more varieties and indeed one we will be talking soon about: Zinfandel.
